It's been a hectic few weeks in the Irish festival scene, with both Oxegen Festival and Electric Picnic, 2 of the biggest music festivals of the past 10 years, announcing their lineups for 2013. While the new direction Oxegen is taking isn't to everyone's taste, confirmation of the 2 heavyweights back for 2013 can only be good news. Electric Picnic have secured Arctic Monkeys, My Bloody Valentine and Franz Ferdinand as part of their opening headliner announcement.

Of more pressing importance in May is the biggest electronic festival in Ireland Life Festival 2013 which kicks off on Friday 24th May in the glorious setting of Belvedere House, Co. Westmeath. Seth Troxler and Groove Armada are part of a compelling lineup for 2013.
